Two suggestions actually
the 10 questions in a row should be You have been awarded the "you're a f*cking cheater" award for scoring 10. . .
the 11 questions in a row should be You have been awarded a rope so you can tie one arm behind your back for scoring 11. . .

hmm well it's hard to think of anything that could be better, mainly because i don't know really what the bot can do. One thing that you have just started, which is pretty neat, is the mail option. Oh ya the witty things that onlinegaming has to say are also interesting, something to think about while we're waiting for the next question! But nope as of now, no good ideas!

Well it doesn't look like too many people have ideas considering that i'm following up my own reply! hehe. Well although i did leave onlinegaming this info. it's always good to post it and repost it! lol. Once in a while, for instance, umm let's say on a monday, maybe around 3pm, and we'll say it's Sept. 27, triviahost sometimes abandons his post! So when i come there it's like "oh man!" but the worse part is i don't know when it went down and i don't know when it'll be back up. So.. the solution is that since onlinegaming is usually still sitting in the channel i think that his message to people when they join is when it was down and an estimated time triviahost will be arriving! Or also that information could be put into online's profile, as his current profile is really quite useless!! Or if the bot is going to be down for sometime, guess what! we have a website, so maybe a message can be posted with that information! The one problem with this that i can see is that possibly our creator, dropthechalupa, is not around to leave these messages. So i think that the above mentioned bullet board with messages saying when the bot was seen to be down, could be filled in by any users going to the channel. In fact I think i'll go start that type of message right now! What do you think about doing that Dropthechalupa?

It's true that people are getting disgruntled when they enter the channel when the bot is down. Today, is a perfect example with frustrated players like socom_wolf stating that 'this sucks' and that he doesnt know why the bot shouldnt still be on. Chalupa, you have a relatively successful channel going here but if you wish to develop it further, you need to address this issue and in the meantime, tell these players why this is happening. I understand that you are away but why does that neccessarily mean that the bot goes with you??? I for one, have no experience in this area and would like to know of the options available to rectify this problem. If your concerned about people like danasoft coming in and promoting his trivia channels, then meet him with a competitive challenge and find a solution for the best trivia site on battlenet: op triviahost.

Well, that's a good question Trash_Bag. The reason the bot goes down is a couple of reasons:
1. Bnet drops it, like it does everyone at times for no reason.....sometimes during a game. 2. Someone brings in a flood bot and floods the bot. 3. Once in a while, the bot says too much, too fast and gets kicked for flooding. 4. The program becomes unstable and locks up. (Not too often though)
When i'm traveling, I can't restart the bot, so it stays up until it goes down for one of the above reasons. Then it stays down until I come home. I'm looking at ways I might be able to restart it from my laptop on the road.
The good news, is that I don't travel much in November and December.
Keep in mind that I don't always sit in front of my computer 24/7 so it might get disconnected and I won't catch it for a while. No one can run a channel that stays up 100% of the time, but I try my best to keep it up "most" of the time.
I do have a copy of the code for the bot, but the bad news is that it's a copy of a really old version. None of the newer versions include the code. Since the old version runs totally different than the new versions, it doesn't make much sense for me to try and change the code. If I had the code for the new version, I know enough about programming fix some problems with the bot. I might decide one day to just re-do the older version and start over with it. That would give me some cool options that other trivia bots (not made for bnet) have such as team games, higher points for harder questions, etc.
If this site builds up to, say, 50 + members then I would probably consider doing that.

This is not in regards to the trivia channel, who needs the channel when we have a website This is in regards to this site and the members section. As i've been with the site basically from the start, and have contributed nicely to the different sections on this website, I think it's time to promote me from "new member." LoL, I think that a new title, such as: major contributor, general, grandmaster, indispensible, or even mature member, would be a fitting title. So i dont' know, maybe after a member has been with the site for a certain time period and has been active, maybe they can get a different title. Of course that's if its possible to give the different titles. Haha awaiting your reply: NavY_Ceals

Lol now he has no stars, or at least none that I can see.
I say he should have 3 stars, he has contributed to the website alot and he deserves it.

The member status is set by the # of posts. I have lowered the standards so it's easier to move up. It's now set at:
Posts / Status 10 Junior Member 75 Full Member 250 Senior Member 500 Diamond Member

lol well although that does answer my question, that there are different ranks, i think that the ranking system is faulty! As i wrote in my suggestion, it should be by amount of time as a member and being active. By deciding on how many posts, is too bureaucratic (look it up guys). Five sentences posted in "never ending story" will outweigh an essay on political debates! Simply put, quality over quantity, lol, but then i know that means more work and less autominism, if only life were perfect.
Good job! NavY_Ceals (junior member)

Yeah, I gave him 500 posts. You were the one who said he should have some stars. The only way to get stars is to move up the ranks by # of posts. I had given him a custom Level, but they don't give stars. Navy felt that he should be higher based on time. The system here does not work that way, so I just gave him 500 posts.

Well that's cool. Now I just have 448 more posts to get to a diamond member. The race is on. ;D
Umm Chalupa, are you sure that it's 75 for a full member? 'Cause I have 50 something and it says that I'm a full member
