I was wondering if triviahost would like to be involved in a cross-channel competition with another trivia channel. Feedback from everyone here would be nice (which is why this isn't a pm), but I am specifically asking the admin, Chalupa.
You can post any questions here and I will answer them.
The first question I assume will be asked, I will answer here. Right now I think the triviahost bot would be used for the questions.

I'm into it. Nothing wrong with a little friendly competition eh fellas? I nominated Doom for team leader!

First off, what channel are you representing?

I don't know if I have the code any more for teams, but I guess I could always re-write it. I'm down for it if everyone else is.
Who's in?

As long as Doom is willing to play, this should be good.

Eh. I didn't tell you the name of the channel because I didn't want to inadvertently advertise for another channel. And to be truthful I haven't gotten anybody from my channel to consent yet. I didn't expect there to be an answer so soon, you see wee just finished our first west vs east (same clan) tournament today. It went well so I think we will have enough people who want to do it again to make this cross-channel competition worth while.
I was thinking maybe 10 on a team (I realize 19 with 1 trivia bot and one ops would fit, but it will get extremely crowded)? You can take people from west or east, it doesn't matter really. I don't want this competition to be too soon. I would rather have a little time in between large competitions during which people can take a breath, but I will ask around and see if anyone is interested.
To answer your question: I represent Clan Triv. If you want to get in touch with me on b.net sometime, and not on this site (through pm, this post, etc.) then you can whisper parson1. I hope my past here doesn't affect the chances of this going through.

No, I think we are in. Doom tells me he is for it and if we can get a couple other of our top players, I think it will be a fun game. I'm not sure it's totally fair to use all our questions so maybe we can figure out something more fair?

I didn't expect the first competition to be that competitive (yes i know what the word competition means), I expected anyone (first come first serve) who wanted to take part to be able to play, even if they aren't the best. As for mixing questions....I don't run Clan Triv and I have no idea if the people who do would be willing to share questions. Its a good idea and I would like it to go through, though.

Well, I have been asking around the channel, and the interest seems to be surprisingly high. I was wondering, since we are still in the early stages, if we could have it maybe 12 v 12 or 14 v 14? I'd like to keep even numbers so you can get 6 from west 6 from east, and same with us.
We are thinking Sunday, either this coming (Nov. 19) or the one after (Nov. 26), what do you guys think?

I got a question: how do we prevent anyone from cheating?

Maybe he means google. Really, there is no way to assure that no one will. We are just going to have to trust people not to do it.
