I say we shoot for a tad later. Like 7 PM Eastern. 6 Central, 5 Mountain, 4 Pacific, etc.

That's too late. People from Triv have work and others spend time with friends, etc. We already don't have our best 3 people. Give a little, take a little I guess. How is 5 east time? That's an hour later and I think compbasher can understand that we won't be holding up the entire competition for one person. Besides, if compbasher gets home quickly enough, he can be in the last half hour to forty five minutes of the competition (I was thinking 2 hours long).
ps...As for the combining, I think assuming that there will be a lot of repeats unfair. Even if there ARE a lot of repeats, the combined number of question is going to be over 70 thousand, right? Even if a few repeats show up, at least that means both sides will know the answer (or have been exposed to it). However, if we use only your bot or only our bot, then if there aren't as many repeats as you think then Clan Triv players will be at an unfair disadvantage

we can use your bot half the time then our bot the other half. I've seen your bot and hours, and well, I think it will be more fair that way considering how we each know our own bot's questions.

Stella's idea might work except for the fact that triviahost has the bot that can have people join the teams, and automatically add up the scores. It's just easier if you send us your question file and we send ours to you. Then chalupa can make the bot use both question files and also have the teams that add scores automatically.

Will there be a log of the competition posted afterwards so the rest of us can see how it went?

That, technohawk, is up to Chalupa.

5 east time would be the earliest I would be able to do it, and 11 would be the latest (to start the game). I have bowling until at least 4:00 on sundays, and it sometimes spills over to 4:30-ish, and I'd rather not be up later than 1.
On a side note, how long is the competition going to last?

If you guys swap question files, i suggest making copies of each, that way both of your questions don't get filled with the others. Capiche?
