I suggest that you get 10, 12, or 14 main players (whichever we decide on for the competition) and then get a few back-ups just in case the orginal players can't play for some reason or another. I know Clan Triv is doing that.
Remember, though, that only 10, 12, or 14 will be allowed in, meaning if all the main players can make it, no back-ups may enter.

Prohibition, I'd like to join. Don't know how good I'd be at it thought. I've been to clan triv a bunch of times though. Sounds neat.

It's nice that you want to join, the feedback I'm getting from here and Clan Triv is great But, if you are interested in registering for the triviahost team, you should talk to Chalupa, or whoever you have in charge of making the teams.

So which bot will be used? Or will there be a different, neutral bot?

It looks like our bot for this one. Doesn't matter to me...I made a team bot for the East vs West games back in the day but I need to see if I saved the code. That would be the easiest way to go since it let's people join a team and then it's team play from there.
We could aim for Sunday the 19th. I would like to pick our best players of course as I'm sure Clan Triv will do.

Yea the 19th (this coming Sunday) is good. I'll spread the word. The person who runs our bot says that if you send your question file he can merge it with his and we can play with that.

That's fine, but they should send me the questions they want to add then. Why would I send them my question file? Plus, maybe we should each pick 5000 questions or something like that. My file is so large we might never see questions from anyone else. Or we could pick 1000 questions each.

Or, we could pick like 5 questions each. Then, just have them repeat over and over again.
I like this idea.

For starters, I think it would be a nice gesture if we gave you our entire question file and you gave us your entire question file (or at least 32 thousand--explanation coming), but we will play on your bot, since I know you guys have that team thing set up. I will still have to explain it to the people from Clan Triv.
By the way, the Clan Triv question file has 32 thousand questions, I'm not sure how many your file has, but I assume it isn't more than 45 thousand. So I think that just melding the two and playing with the combined XX thousand would be good.
I was thinking a good time to play would be early afternoon? Maybe 4 eastern time (1pm western, 3pm central)?

A giant problem with combining the databases is that there will most definitely be a large number of repeats. I'm sure both files share A LOT of the same questions.
Also, I work til 5pm Central on Sundays.
