Black Friday came, and as of now is pretty much over. Share your Black Friday stories with us! Where did you shop, what did you buy?
Did anyone wait in line at 4am to get a stupid gift? Was it worth it?

Canadians, eh? Black Friday is this American thing where most all stores have huge sales starting at 4 or 5 in the morning and usually lasting 'til about noon. It's always the Friday after our Thanksgiving. There's always tons of crowds of people and free gifts at a lot of places for like the first X amount of people. And no, I didn't partake in this "adventure." I slept in good and late. Then worked for eight hours on the tail end of Black Friday. Quite boring, really. Because all the sales had mostly ended by the time I started, there really wasn't much of anybody left shopping.

Hey I'm Canadian and knew what black friday was. We don't have our own black friday here in Canada(none after our thanksgiving and none after yours), but I've gone to the States many times for the holiday shopping, more so now since the Canadian dollar has gained a lot of strength.
FYI The "Black" that black friday refers to is that this is the beginning of the time that a store becomes profitable for the fiscal year(and is thus, "in the black" instead of being in debt "In the red")
Nowadays I'd say it has a double meaning since it seems that at some stores it can get violent with the people fighting for the sales.
And I even have a story/newsflash that I read online. Apparently today at 11am pacific(i think) amazon.com had 1000 xbox 360's on sale for only $100($200 discount). They sold out in 29 seconds.

Well I actually went to two sales, one on thanksgiving and one on black friday.
#1 : CompUSA
My brother and I waited in line for an hour and a half to get to their 9:00 to midnight sales. We bought a wireless router, an internal hard drive, and a wireless controller for a computer. Totally worth it, we spent 30 bucks on all of it.
#2 : Meijer
We went to this one at 2:00 AM; the sale started at 5:00 AM. We bought two 20 inch LCD tvs for 100 bucks apiece. They were regularly 400. We didn't have to fight anyone, but we did have to push pretty aggressively through a few lines, and some moron tried to take my TV right out of my hands. The annoying thing was that Meijer had no order at all, they basically brought the TVs out and had a freeforall.
Seeing as my TV at that time had been a 12 inch tube TV from the 1980s, it was totally worth it.
