It has now been a week since I fried the memory for my computer. I ordered some memory on thursday, and the order shipped out later that night. I checked on Friday and it had reached an area 30 or so miles from my house, with an incorrect address. I then looked at the order confirmation only to find that I had put the wrong house address... I called UPS on saturday and got nothing but bogus info. I then called later that day and talked to a nice lady who told me that they had corrected the address, and they are going to deliver it on Tuesday. Peon, thanks for taking the time to provide ops while I'm away for this period of time. I hope to be able to get my bots online tomorrow. Cya all then

A problem. I got the memory today (it apparently shipped yesterday, but I didn't check outside until today), I put the sticks in, and it refused to work. Trying thus several times after, it still refused to work.
I really want that computer back online, but I really don't have that much money to purchase another computer, so I went on eBay and searched for my motherboard. Lo and behold, there was an identical motherboard being sold, so I purchased that. Now I have to wait like 6-8 days or so for it to arrive.
I've just been so flustered with the events of late. I hope I'm not shooting myself in the foot here.

Well and here I thought you'd gone and gotten addicted to crack. At least you only fried your computer's memory! By the way, Italy's pretty nice, not too cold but not too spicy. How are the Olympics?
Hope the computer works out though.

I've fixed the problem rather temporarily. Got my old eMachines computer, put the HD in it, and re-installed XP onto the main partition (not a good idea, actually).
This will have to do until I can get my motherboard. So the problem seems to be fixed, although somewhat.

As of yesterday, I've been running on my new HP motherboard. The speed hasn't been faster, and I'm really happy that I was able to make this work real well.
My uptime will now be much better than it was.
