Should I read the graphic novels first? The previews look pretty impressive, visually atleast. Anyone k'no? Ohh yea, hehe new thread... anyone hear Christian Bale's tirade? muahah... hahahah. Its a pretty good film and you will get your moneys worth if you go see it. Its a cut above the standard meaningless action flick, although its not incredibly deep it does have some real thought behind it. Also come prepared to see a good deal of sex, as there are at least four scenes, some with borderline pornography shots.

Yea, I might have to go see it later this week.. I heard somewhere it was hard to follow in spots if you weren't a fan of the gnovels(just wondered if anyone knew).
*oh yeah* shoulda put a parental advisory on the above youtube clip hehe. Just don't listen to it with your mom in the room.

Read the novel after. The movie missed a lot of the poetic moments from the graphic novel, which will be disappointing if you've already read it. But as a standalone movie, it's pretty good.

The plot really isn't that hard to follow, if you aren't dull and you pay attention.
Also is the novel a single book/comic, what is it?

It's a graphic novel. There are chapters of comics, and also some text chapters.

It was really good I thought, I really liked it and I haven't read the novel. I did read about it and knew the key plot elements though, so I was prepared for all of the blue penis shots and didn't bother to look ahah.

Gonna go see it this weekend, of all advise, at least I'll know when to avert mine eyes. Thanks again for the feedback all. Other than theCluck, I hear it's worth seeing in theaters.

OT: DXlightning, what megaman are they on now? The last I played was 5 I think. It was the first one for the DS. Actually, that was one of the only games I got for the DS before letting it sit in it's cold little drawer next to my bright and shiny Xbox 360

I loved the watchman, thought it was very good. Well worth watching i would say. Dr Manhattans monologue near the end, about turning air into gold!! I just loved it!

So is this movie good or no? My friend saw it and said it was the worst movie she ever saw and it was long and confusing.

It doesn't really matter if someone kiled themself while watching the movie, there are so many people out there that some one has an averse reaction to just about everything.
If you are lookng for a mindless action flick or are too immature to sit through a movie where a penis shows then avoid it sure. It is a pretty good movie that actually bridges between action and intelleigent plot fairly well.
