Internet Browsers:
Maxthon browser:
Very interesting, allows you to access your computer remotely, although I'm aware that can be a security risk..I haven't seen much of it, but it's worth a look.
Download site: www.maxthon.com
Opera Browser
Too lazy to type? Go try out opera which comes with voice commands, if you're blind, you can make opera read! (Takes a while to master commands though..)
Download site: www.opera.com
Miscellaneous:
Hamachi
Hamachi acts like a router connecting anyone in the network together, and simplifies gaming in LAN. Basically, it works like a small Battle.Net.
Download site: www.hamachi.cc/
Stealthbot
Of course, everyone knows Stealthbot, but this is here for anyone who doesn't (you're slow!). It's the best chat bot out there, simple setup and use, and is allowed by Battle.Net, so you wouldn't have to worry about being banned.
Download site: www.stealthbot.net
Messengers:
GAIM
GAIM is basically every messenger out combined into one. It doesn't take up nearly as much memory as AIM, or MSN. (Infact, a lot less, MSN takes up 25~30MB of memory whilst GAIM takes only 15MB. Works like AIM, and you can install plugins. (The only annoying thing is once you have this, you need to turn on the "System Tray Icon" plugin)
Download site: gaim.sourceforge.net/
Windows:
Aston Skins & AltDesk
This is for anyone who want their computer to look as cool as possible. It changes everyway windows can look plus you can get custom skins from the site.
AltDesk isn't that useful for me, but maybe for you, I don't know. It's a program that creates separate desktops so when you have "desktop 1" out, and switch to "desktop 2", you wouldn't see anything from "desktop 1" until you switch back to it.
Download site: www.astonshell.com/aston/ www.astonshell.com/altdesk/
Great file sites:
FileHippo
File hippo has a lot of downloads, like download.com, but are actually the real programs, not the demos.
