Is there a way you can play SC on single player without the computer player cause I just want to practice but it forces you to have a computer player which is annoying when yer trying to time yourself....

I don't think so, but maybe you could make a custom map where the computer player only has a very tiny start space and/or no mins. Then, the computer wouldn't be able to make anything, thus allowing you to accomplish your goal.

Just make a starting point. If it's melee, just use something to enclose them, but giving them enough space to spawn.

Depending on how long you want to be by yourself, simply play islands or something, which will give you at least the starting 5 minutes to yourself. And if they do start to bother you, just type "power overwhelming" and you won't have too many more problems!
