If the Enterprise goes faster than light, how does the crew see anything at warp 9 or whatever. The light can't travel fast enough for them to see.

It's not like they're travelling parallel to the light, it comes from all directions. Therefore they'd easily be able to see out of the front monitor. However, if they were to look behind them it should be pitch black.

As dx was saying, it would be pitch black from the back, and the sides. However, the front would be very bright.
Eh? depends. there won't really be any light in space except for the light reflected from the planets. Even then, there won't be much light.

I should have put stars, but I meant it too. Thank you braniac. Only a very intelligent man like yourself would be able to spot an error like that.
P.S. Yes I am enjoying my 5% warning level, but could it be taken away?

Ok back to the topic at hand.... I dont know exactly, but if they were traveling at the speed of light they really shouldn't be able to see anything, really shouldn't even the inside of the ship be completely pitch black at least to the crew and stuff? idk...

Yeah that's what I thought, if they are moving at the speed of light, I would think that couldn't really see anything... at all.. because they would be going SUPER fast and such so that it's like.. a blur..? I don't know either. I just know what I think =p

First, they go faster than the speed of light. Second. the light in the ship is traveling the same speed which is why they have light inside the ship. Third, the stars in front of them are shining light towards them so they would see that light. As stated earlier, you would not see the light behind you because it's not traveling fast enough.
I imagine the sensors would let them see from behind if they need to.
