I watched the last season of the VH1 'World Series of Pop Culture", and often times people meet on the internet, or loosely affiliated trivia buffs from around certain towns.. Why not consider this Forum as a venue for a venerable dream team to represent? I'm not nominating myself, but I would do ok on pop culture trivia, more of a general, scholastic trivia person, but I did watch some TV in the 80's and early 90's  hehe So.. you guys would know better than me, who really knows alot v.s. who regurgitates answers remembered when repeated a couple times? ;D could possibly be 250,000$ to win *stirs the pot* who would you choose as your top 3 possibly alternate 3? don't worry you won't offend anyone but falkyr if he still lurks hehe |

This thread is completely based on me talkinbg about this today isn't it. Don't lie to me.
I thinkw e should have a group go on that show, Obviously me cuz I'm super-smart. (I mean Come On, It's me). But all realities aside we should fufill this lifelong dream of Ferrous.

AHah, no lifelong dream of mine. I'd have to play for the Seattle Seahawks and score the winning touchdown in the final superbowl that decided the fate of the world, which would allow for the next years superbowl. Although our conversation sparked me to start the thread, Mr Obvious, though i was already discussing/idling before starting it.
Ohyea, the nominations... For that particular show, I would definately not nominate myself after watching a couple episodes, though I would fare ok.. Seems like we could test for it somehow. The top performers on the Daily triv would be good.. although time is not a factor, and the questions would be more about TV, Movie, Music, and general celebrity knowledge it seems. (based mostly off dailytriv) I was hoping for some more discussion b4 i nominated but i'll kick it off:
Doomz, Gnome, and if miss_eieio_goose, if her kids keeps her updated on boy band news. hehah

I appreciate the nomination and now that you've explained the show to me, possibly, I could do okay with Tv/Movie stuff. Ror has picked on me about only knowing that stuff before.
I think if i were to make a Fantasy Team, it would be: Doom(of course),Ror, and a toss-up between shm and narc--but probably narc(cause Ror loves her so and it would make it even more interesting)
I think we should let Doom pick a team with the rule he can't use himself!

'Tis the season... announcements for how to apply and open contests comes out soon. Anyone who knows more, or is better at digging- let us know. Could be a free plane trip and paid vacation. Prize money maybe, hehe

So brash and boastful.
I can't seem to find out what happened to this tournament.. I guess it could be discontinued. There seems to be no new news of how to apply or tryout. I'll have to go back to trying to get on the 25,000 dollar pyramid I guess.
