I haven't thought of the O'Neal suspension being a factor in the MVP selection, but its a definite possibly that he could have gotten it. Then again, there are all these "what if's." Neway, I like to put in a lot of the statistical categories b4 choosing a good suitor.
Iverson leads in points per game and total points Garnett leads in rebounds per game and total boards Nash leads in assists per game and total dimes Hughes leads in steals per game, but Iverson leads in total steals Camby leads in blocks per game and total blocks LeBron leads in min per game(Iverson close 2nd) Garnett leads in double-doubles Kidd leads in triple-doubles
Although Shaq doesn't lead in any of these categories, he was usually in the top 10 in most of them. Shaq is definitely one of the best team players in the NBA.
So thus I think either Allen Iverson or Shaq will win this years MVP award.

Hmm....Phx sweeps Memphis out of the playoffs....and this Bob fellow thinks that someone from the Griz should be mvp and not the assist king of Phx? Try again.

To his credit, or by pure coincidence, each team Nash has been on the last five years, be it the Suns or the Mavs, they have lead the league in points per game. Impressive!
