Okay well I can't modify the other post cause of the yeahr but I'm sorry for double posting. But let me just say that it's gonna be a little sad that for the first time in years, the fantasy "experts" and other NFL "experts" aren't going on and on about how the time is now for Michael Vick. For years I've seen that. "The time is now" "Vick will throw for however touchdowns"
He is probably the most overrated pro athlete I've ever known for years. But it could've just been cause of his line and recievers sucked but still.

He told everyone that he wasn't involved. It kinda sucks though we'll never see him in the NFL again. HIGHLY Unlikely. There's no doubt in my mind that he'll be allowed to play after some sort of time. He's one of the best Players in the NFL and had a HUGE fan base, and still does. So many people support him that the NFL would lose so much respect from viewers for a while.

OKay Yeah, he'll probably get to play again but it'll be like Marcus Vick. Just a benchwarmer

I doubt that. There are several teams that need a revamp on offense that could really use him next year. Like the Bears! And the Falcons are definitely not keeping him so he could go anywhere!

He won't be playing next year for sure; I'd bet three fitty. I wouldn't be surprised to see some team desperate for help to go and get him, but with the public relations nightmare that will follow him, there's a chance he won't ever make it back.

Yea.. 23 months in the clank with one month served, 1/3rd time off for good behavior. So about 15 months from now he could be out. Alot of people are saying he won't have a chance to be back till 2010 or after, but time wise he could try to get reinstated for the 2009 season. Who knows if anyone wants to sign on for constant protestors outside their stadium at that point though. He'll have to donate half his salary to some animal related charity or change his identity and have facial reconstruction surgery. Some drastic PR repair will need to be done on his part.

I think we'll see him on a NFL field again one day. I mean look at Ricky Williams. This is his third time we're seeing him.

Drug suspensions are different though in the public eye. Especially with ganja; I mean, more than half of the population has smoked weed before. There is a policy in place for that as well. Every time some people look at him, they'll imagine some guy that would kill their dog with his bare hands. He'll never be able to appease all of them, but he'll need to do something drastic to assure some owner that he's worth the parade of protestors. Personally, I think he should be able to come back and play, some guys that have done worse never missed a game.

I can't remember the dudes' names but there is a guy convicted of beating his wife on several occasions and he never missed a game, and another guy who killed someone in a drunken driving incident. hehe, not that this is worse but, did you guys hear about the Chicago Bear, Lance Briggs who crashed his Lamborghini and left the scene of the accident. Then he called the police and left confusing statements about the car being stolen, then later admitting to it. It doesn't sound like they pressed the DUI issue with him, although all evidence and stupidity points to it. He could have easily killed someone if it wasn't driving at 3 am. He never missed a game either to my knowledge.

He has a long admission list of stuff he pleaded guilty to. Being involved in the fights and he admitted to giving the ok to kill several dogs, but only admitted to killing one directly.

Relevant Necropost!!!!!!! -Will anyone sign him besides a team in the upstart United F League? I wonder still, even if Goodell clears him to play today, for reasons I listed above.

I hope he returns to the NFL. It still doesn't make sense though, Donte Stallworth kills a man and gets 30 days in prison. Mike Vike kills dogs and gets 2 years. Seems fair enough?
