Since the playoffs are just 2 weeks away I'm wondering what fellow hockey fans think will happen.
Who is most likely to make it to the Stanley Cup? Who do you want to make it? Who doesn't stand a chance?
etc....

canucks have a definite chance. but then again the entire western division is so tight that it'll be a real close call. i haven't been following eastern division as much, but I know buffalo are definitely dangerous, wouldn't want to have to play them in the finals.
i'll stick with my guns and say canucks will make it past first round for sure. after second round is anyone's guess though
and i think colorado won't make the playoffs. calgary is too many points up and they aren't in a slump either. it would take a lot for colorado to get the last berth in the western division

I am putting my money on the Ducks because they are going for the sweep tonight againsed Minnisota and they have a definate chance at the cup.

My guess is Detroit, Anaheim, Vancouver, San Jose, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, and Buffalo will advance, then Detroit will bea Anaheim, Vancouver over San Jose, Rangers over Pitsburgh, Tampa Bay over Buffalo. The final matchup will be Detroit vs Rangers.
That's my guess.

So this round it's:
(1) Buffalo Sabres vs. (6) New York Rangers (2) New Jersey Devils vs. (4) Ottawa Senators
(1) Detroit Red Wings vs. (5) San Jose Sharks (2) Anaheim Ducks vs. (3) Vancouver Canucks
My Picks, biased by my nationality:
Buffalo Ottawa Detroit Vancouver

buffalo will win new jersey isn't bad, but i'd put my money on ottawa detroit, unless they do somethin drastically different from what they do now and vancouver of course ;D
for conference finals, vancouver could have a chance against detroit if they manage to put goals on the score board, if no one gets injured, and if they don't get themselves into penalty troubles in the games.

I'd love to see Detroit vs Vancouver, because your goalie has been relatively kickass lately. I'd like to see Hasek shown up. He's a disgrace to our city.

relatively good lately? you mean like.... relatively incredible all the time? luongo is a beast! i mean, it takes a whole season to get a great record, not just a few games. he had to be good all the time to get stats like he does. he has kept the canucks alive in ALOT of games

The only game I saw him in was game 1 of the Dallas series. He was ridiculous, especially in overtime.

Sigh, not completely Luongo's fault tonight, but very sad result. They should have at least 2 days in between series not just 1.

if they were on a roll they would have won 3 straight and they would have had a convincing win last game, but they didnt, so they aren't on a roll, and the canucks definitely stand a chance
