Wookie is the correct spelling. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wookiee"A common, though incorrect, spelling is Wookie (with only one trailing "e")." Whenever you got enough time, you should uniform the numbers into a format. Such as any number from 0 to x should be spelled out, whereas x would be the lowest high number to be put back into numerical format. I'll leave the numbers in question to you and the others, but it really needs to be done to reduce massive spammage of sorts on those questions. The problem with having a set limit is that, for instance, one trillion is really simple to spell out, whereas five hundred twenty nine thousand six hundred forty five isn't quite as nice as 529 645. I'd argue that more number questions should be rounded and then spelled out. Does anyone care that it's going to be thirty two thousand, rather than 32500 or whatever that question was from that first page. I guess, unless it's a number that is quite common knowledge, like 98.6. Doom, go here[/u] to find my "new" most populous areas. If you have any problems with them, you can telll me and you can probably fix it easy enough.

Who said, in 1993, that tax evasion was a sin which risked eternal damnation?*John John Paul II
The mistake there is fairly obvious.
One of the early 'modern' surgeons operating in London in 1820 had as his claim to fame that he could _____ a leg in 28 seconds.*amputate, remember, this was before anesthesia had been discovered ouch!

Wikipedia is not always correct. When I get home I'll check my books for this (Yeah I read Star Wars books, what's it to you?)

"The highest waterfall in the world, angel falls in Venezuela, has a total drop of how many feet*3,121" "A pig's orgasm lasts for __ _______*30 minutes" "The average single woman has sex ___ times a year. Married women are doing it 111 times a year*72" "__% of American women agree that a good night's sleep is better than sex. 68% of men disagree!*46" "Who sang the 80's smash hit 'future's so bright, I gotta wear shades'*timbuk" Timbuk 3[/u] "Which chemical elemant is named after the 1959 winner of the Nobel Prize for Physics*laurencium" Should be Lawrencium, named after Ernest O. Lawrence[/u] who apparently won the Nobel Prize in 1939 and not 1959 as the question says. "Assassin Lee Harvey Oswald Jacob Rubenstein better known as*Jack Ruby" Wouldn't it be creepy if his real first three names were the exact same as the guy he killed? "Which list did sarah furguson make five times in people's magazine*worst" I think it's supposed to be People magazine and worst dressed, but I can't really find any proof of either. Greatest question ever: "Usa*usa Spain" I have no idea what's going on here, and it FRIGHTENS me.

I've been paying attention to the spellings, but haven't found many for Doom to specifically alter. I have one in this grouping of questions, though! "What eggdrop bot exists to serve this room*azrael" Delete me please "Art & Literature: Gai-jim*James clavell" It's a small thing, and it's not like it would have helped me get the question right, but the book is "Gai-Jin". "In the Taming of the shrew, the name of the shrew*Katharina" Should be Katherine or Kate.[/u] "In what did ray walston play 'uncle tim'*my favourite Martian" BRITISH "Science proves when women make love, they produce amounts of the hormone ______,...*oestrogen" This is apparently just an alternate spelling of estrogen?[/u] Since most people know it without the O, that's probably how it should be spelled. "'shogun' in English.*military governer" I don't know what the prefered translation of Shogun is, but we can at least correct the spelling of governor. "Who wrote door into summer (last name)*Heinlein" I know it says what to type, but still. Can just remove that and make it Robert Heinlein, please. "The average bank teller loses --------- a year.*$250" Numbers "Who gave the longest state of the Union adress*president truman" I'm not sure if you would have caught this or not. Plus, it annoys me so I make special mention of it.

Ok, next batch done.
Gnome-fixed all the errors you listed, rounding each difficult number (and announcing that in the clue), so 3,121 feet for Angel falls is now three thousand one hundred (and it says to the nearest hundred in the clue).
Assault (if that was who brought it up, too lazy to check)-Dry ice now "Sublimes" as the answer.
Lost-Changed all the Britishisms I could think of to their American counterparts, using replace all to get them. Favourite is now favorite all the way through, same for foetus being fetus, and harbour being harbor. Petrol is gasoline where appropriate (some clues involving bands use Petrol, which shouldn't be changed).
Haven't had a chance to uniform the president names or the numeral questions, but I'll do the latter as people point them out to me.
Deleted all the moronic questions like "Usa*usa spain" and shortened the answers on the obviously retarded ones like "amputate...blah blah blah."
Other than that I think I got everything this time around.

Lots of spelling errors and numbers! Hooray! "Aphids can give birth how long after being born themselves*10 days" "How many bones are there in the human body*206" Should also probably say adult human body? "The brain uses more than __% of the oxygen used by the human body.*25 "Hoover dam created a lake ___ miles long*115" "In 1929 start of USSR experimental________*calender" Calendar? Unless there's something about USSR experimental calenders (Which I just discovered is actually a word) that I don't know about. "Where was the first commercially marketed typewrited manufactured*copenhagan Denmark" Copenhagen? "What according to the proverb might one wear if it fits*cap" Since we're going for americanization. I know it as shoe. I don't know about others, but cap is the British proverb, so... "______ ________ is a method of manufacturing materials...gas or vapour atoms or molecules on a substrate.*Vapour deposition" British. The question isn't too long, I'm just too lazy. "Cryptic: Lenny Kravitz is hitchhicKing*Are You Gonna Go My Way?" The question mark makes this unanswerable. Plus, because I'm here, hitchhiking is wrong. "Who were the guests on Johnny Carson's final tonite show*bette midler and" Wiki and TheHaj[/u] say it was Robin Williams and Bette Midler. "in china, the dark shadows forming a face....that eclipses occur when the*" It's too long and there doesn't even seem to be an answer. "The tarantula spends most of its life...5 to 7 years, they leave the burrow in *November" Question is too long. Unless November somehow makes sense right at the end there. "What is the flower that stands for: boldness*pink" That's not a flower... And I don't even know where I'd look that sort of thing up. "Cryptic: Glimmering heavenly body*Shining star, The Manhattans* The song is Shining Star by The Manhattans, but cryptics generally put the band name in the question or not at all. Having it like this question is just stupid. "What NFL team was formerly known as the Portsmouth Spartans*detroit" Would be better to say Detroit Lions[/u]? "Where would you find the "stanze di raffaelo"*Vatican" Vatican City? "What fastener did whitcomb judson patent in 1893*zip" Zipper. **Editted in question** "Who was the alter ego of 'the incredible hulk'*dr David banner" As per the Wiki,[/u] in the old television show, his name was David Banner, there seems to be some mention of a David Banner in the 1600s (I really didn't look too hard at that) and in the recent movie, Nick Nolte played the Hulk's father and was named David Banner. However, it seems for the comics, it's Dr. Robert Bruce Banner which is much more correct than that TV show. I think everyone probably knows him most as Bruce Banner so it's probably easiest just to go with that. And lastly, I write retarded like. =(

What is the element for the symbol Lu*lutenium
It's "Lutetium".
How did Mussolini die*execution
That's like saying "by death". I believe it should be "hanging" or something of the like.

"On Punky Brewster, how was she abandoned by her mother*Her mother went into the grocery store and never came out" I don't like this one at all. Nevermind that no one gives a shit about Punky Brewster, but this sort of question has way too much room to come up with answers for it. I say delete.
"Philip gilbert hamerton, English art writer and lanscape... cat would have the rare grace of neve*word too much" Too long. I have the feeling I've already posted this somewhere before, just not in this thread. Or maybe I just mentioned it to you for some reason.
"Who directed 'Indiana Jones 4'*Steven spielberg" It hasn't even been directed yet.
"Geography & Places: Vatican City*Vatican City" ... What?
"Ernest bevin, minister of labour during world war II, left school at the age of*11"
"The clitoris is, on average, how long*16 millimetres"
"As of 2002, what was the age of the oldest living person in recorded history when they died*122"
"Robert E. Lee wore size --------- shoe.*4 & 1/2"
What does the roman numeral d stand for*500"
"If you counted 24 hours a day, it would take _____ years to reach one trillion*31,688"

I'm headed down to my college for 2 days (celebrating some friends' birthdays), so I'll get to those fixes when I get back on either the 28th or 29th.
I came to a decision on the presidents. As far as names go, I'm going to go with first and second name unless it's absolutely essential to answering the question. Therefore, John Quincy Adams will remain John Quincy Adams. But Franklin D. Roosevelt will just be Franklin Roosevelt wherever possible. Harry S. Truman will be Harry Truman, and so forth. As far as I can tell, Quincy Adams is the only one where this will be a variant on the norm, and it's obviously different from John Adams, so there we go. Does that work for you guys? As for numbers, still haven't reached a conclusion other than to spell out the ones Gnome presents me.
Back in a few days.
