Probably because you guys spam for your channel non-stop in all starcraft channels since the day you guys started, maybe lay off a little? If I were a general gamer and complained to blizzard about you guys spamming your brains out all the time with a bot that joins all the channels all the time Blizzard would probably look into it and see your channel. If I were a Blizz rep, I would then go, well since they're on two different accounts I can only ban the one spamming, but maybe I can ban the account triviahost on a technicality, and that being using a Stealthbot script for trivia. (Stealthbot is never technically legal on the realms, Blizzard just tends to leave it alone because so many people use it).
My point: If you piss off a blizz rep, they're going to try to find something wrong to ban you for just so they can get their high.
-Eric.

If you don't know the facts, don't try to tell us what we're doing wrong. The account that got banned had no part in any of this spamming you're talking about.
Do you realize how much spam is done by others? Go on d2 and see how fast you get spammed by bots telling you to go to some site to buy items. The little bit of advertising we do from time to time is no comparison to the mass spamming of these other bots.
Blizzard reps themselves have said that using stealthbot is perfectly fine.
Another stupid post like this and I'll ban you from the site. Don't try to argue with me because I won't care what you have to say. Good day.

just to point out another fact that you clearly don't know at all: we spam for our channel non-stop since the day we started?
HAHAHAHA do you even know how long ago chalupa first put up his triviabot? and do you know in comparison to how much spam we get per day, how VERY little advertising we do in other channels?
p.s. one reason we don't like advertising too often is that it seems to attract undesirables such as yourself

I've been around long before triviahost, and maybe I am wrong. I'm just theorizing. Why else would they ban you?

And sadly, there are still only like 6 people in your channel including your 3/4 bots....

I don't know if I should be posting this, but I'm at least sticking up for the triviahost. Well, I've had it good, the last 11 months or so. I don't like it when our trivia is dissed on. Your bot's code is very cheesy, so who would want to play there, even for a little bit? Well, I have played there myself when triviahost was gone, and it was ok.
May the legacy of TriviaHost live on!

My point: If you piss off a blizz rep, they're going to try to find something wrong to ban you for just so they can get their high. -Eric. If your hypothesis is true(which is at the highest regard, laughable), then it would be safe to say the blizz reps have nothing better to handle than to react to the first narcs that send me an all-inclusive email. Mind you these individuals do not become representatives or technical support staff based on their petty email respond tactics. My point: They do their job because they HAVE to(vs. their "high") And as to respond to your allegiations of our Ad bot spamming, the ONLY instance when the bot would appear to be spamming is if no one talked in the channel for about 15 minutes straight. Then, to the eye of a bystander in one of these channels, granted they either stayed the entire timeframe or were idle and returned shortly after, it APPEAR to be spam even though the bot posts one small Ad phrase every 2-3 minutes in the major public channels. Thus, no such spammage ever happened, and any banishment from there on out was purely accidental, not incidental, even if the bot running happened to be a Stealth. If you ban one alone on such an instance, all others must follow to solidify their continuity in rulings.

Actually xyphet, as far as I know we're temporarily going to op triviawest now. Until the 3 month ban is over I guess. I thought there was a bot in op triviahost saying that? Oh and Chalupa might want to know there's also another bot in there advertising Clan Triv I think it is.

Yeah I know. We can't really stop them since we don't have ops there. Not like it matters since everyone knows about Clan Triv, yet know one likes to play there anyways....

Well, anyway I can't get on. BNLS is down, moving to new servers. It just sucks.
And, to furthermore support the cause: TriviaHost > Clan Triv > Blizzard > Battle.Net

I dunno, I think Battle.Net > Clan Triv.
