I've played trivia longer than some that have become mods for posting in these forums. That doesn't seem right to me....

hmm i think now i would like to apply for mod, if any current mods are willing to sign me off. and i'll try to post more in the mean time. i hope however little time i spend in the channel can be of help. the current spam detection bots are working well, but sometimes a lot of people still get away with spamming. being members, we have tried to votekick or even voteban. as a result of a milllion no's or yes's being typed (from the one being voted on or the ones just answering for fun), the bot stops and we all can't play anymore. i've even seen members trying to clear the channel of idle people and make the situation much much worse than it already was. it's just quite frustrating when members who tried to help can't help without killing the bot.
i want to help out, but if no one is willing to sign me off (don't think i'm qualified or don't think we need more mods at the time), it's fine too. i'll try to help out carefully with the current member powers i have. =) thx!

Yeah... But tfg votebans/kicks don't always kill the bot. It's only if the bot has already been lagging and people type yes/no more than once. Remember, and everyone should be notified of this somehow - YOUR VOTE IS ONLY COUNTED ONCE. I'll admit, before I knew that I voted about 10 times, expecting that it would help increase the yes's. Haha... But I still didn't know.
However, even mods sometimes use votebans/kicks in certain situations. I have seen it. Sometimes the person being voted on may be a nuisance to some people but other people don't really mind. So, really, votekicks/bans are a great command. Sometimes, it can hurt the bot, but fairly deciding one's fate is something else.

Ah, and by the by, I'm in line for becoming a mod too! Even though I was told by someone that there were no needs for mods at this time, but when there is, I'm here!!
