Multiculturalism is just what it sounds like - the diversity of cultures within a state and its communities.
Recently in my PLS 103 class, we had this debate - I was to argue against multiculturalism. In truth, I had no idea how to do it, as all of the arguments I found in the book or online were based entirely on stereotypes (Mexicans are like bunnies, they spread everywhere. Foreigners are lazy and want to come here for the freedom, not to contribute to the economy, etc.) I was hoping perhaps some of you might succeed where I failed. Since I already had some background in the area and had taken a pro-multiculturalism stance, maybe some of you who haven't had much experience with this issue could think of some anti-multiculturalism responses.
Factors to consider: Is it worth it in a state's budget? What about Michigan, which is on the brink of bankruptcy? In current times, when businesses already prepare its employees for other cultures, does the common man need to be culturally diverse when he goes overseas?
This debate probably won't last long, but that's okay. Any input would be appreciated.

How dare you even question my country's religion. You and all of your school yard chums should be thrown into the deepest darkest hole of a prison and left to rot. Everyone who says imposing an unnatural moral and ethical system on a population by force of law are totally wrong and deserve instant death! HEIL THE QUEEN! HEIL THE COMMONWEALTH!
But to answer your question. Just ask your opponent to explain one benefit of multiculturalism. Does it improve crop yields? How about productivity and/or efficiency? Does it improve community cohesion? Why do countries like mine spend so much money enforcing multiculturalism? Is it fair to throw people in jail for thought crimes such as they do in Britain and other commonwealth countries?
Try to explain the benefits of not imposing an ethical system on a population. And ask what is wrong with your current "melting pot" policy where governments do not make racial decisions (as often).
