Luckily I'm sure everyone here can forgive a minor mistake such as that. Even though you pulled a prone you have demonstrated far more intelligence than he has. And even being a republican won't count against you since you aren't prone.
Now a few words for thought.
1.) He tried to pack the supreme court, a massive and unconstitutional use of his power
Well it seems that most presidents when given the chance will pick people with similar views as themselves to be on the court. Dubya being an example(more luck than planning though since you can't plan when a Judge is going to die unless you're a character in the Pelican Brief)
But I may be hasty in this judgment since I don't know whether FDR was trying to oust current Judges to add his own. So elaboration would be appreciated.
2.) He tried to silence Southern Democrats who dissented in 1938
Ok anyone who tries to silence other's voices is doing a disservice to free speech.
(But Dubya tries to silence all dissenting democrats and republicans who disagree with his policies by calling them silly names like "cut and runners" or emboldening terrorists or unpatriotic)
3.) He ran for president a 3rd time straight, because apparently twice (a tradition by GEORGE WASHINGTON) was not enough for him.
To me I don't quite mind that fact. Probably because in Canada we don't have term limits or even fixed dates for elections(or only two parties). If someone is considered a good enough leader that the people elect him again then why not let them be leader?
And since the 22nd amendment wasn't passed until 1951 after his terms/death FDR was legally allowed to do so.
4.) He passed the National Industry Recovery Act, widely considered as a way for FDR to give the government a hand in big business.
I don't know anything about this so there's not much to say.
Only that it's ironic that now it's big business that has a hand in the government.
I myself haven't formed much of an opinion on FDR, I don't know enough about him to say whether he truly was good or bad.
But it would seem that he is usually considered by surveys to be in the top 3 of all-time best presidents.
