I think that you guys should give the beta a shot. Just donate $5 to stealth, get dropthechalupa!, onlinegaming, and g0dess authed are you're set.
The beta (as of 2.6996, current version is 2.6997) allows you to create groups. Here's an example: <trigger> add seniors 100 --type group
Now seniors is just a group. You can add members to the group, and their access will be...100. You can modify all member's access to the group by only changing the group access.
Also, in 2.6998 (I've talked to Eric[nk], one of the current devs working on the bot) You'll have an advanced join/rejoin flood protection, in which there will no longer be a flood out due to massive join/rejoins. Once the user joins, a timer will elapse for 3 seconds. If the user is still in the channel, then the user will appear in the channel, and triviahost will of course whisper him.
If, however, the user leaves before the 3 seconds is up, he will not appear on the list. So, in effect, this join/rejoin method will spice up the flood protection.
you can also add clans as a group, so clan X: <trigger>add X S --type clan. All members of clan X will have flag S (not that you guys will have clans, but hey, just showing the features.)
So, what do you all say?
Note: custom commands are now defunct.

I say there is nothing here worth my time. I could care less about the group function. I can script my own rejoin protection (and in fact the whisper delay wouldn't work because the whisper is generated in the script), and why again do I need clan groups?

and in fact the whisper delay wouldn't work because the whisper is generated in the script No, this applies globally. your message won't be shown until 3 seconds has expired and the user is still in the channel. Vice versa it applies to users who say stuff. The messages are discarded if the user leaves the channel before 3 seconds has expired. Simply, ithe clan group info. was just an emphasis on the new features.

Perhaps if you did it in script.txt yes. I'd wonder how this would be done really.

Let me tell you, that at the current state of the beta, all expoits that I know have all been taken care of. Not that you guys would ever have an exploit attack or anything like that.
Idk, it was all just a suggestion. 2.7 should hopefully be out within the next 6 months or so.
