Many people think golf is just a game and that it takes little athletic ability to play, however, complete badasses like Tiger Woods are definitely athletes, plus golf does take skill and precision.
Discuss.

You know, about a year ago after one of my baseball games, me and my friends had a discussion similar to this but it was about Racecar driving. Then I came up with a definition for what makes a sport. Unfortunately I forgot.
I think a sport is defined by something that had competition, a mental side to the game/sport, sweat, practice, and cheering.

Definately a sport. If you've ever played; you would know the kind of agility and muscle memory practice it takes to do things right. Speaking of right, I prefer the dogleg right holes, due to an incurable slice. Within a semantic debate on the definition of a sport, it would pass. Auto racing I might make a case against :_)~ Golf cart racing is fun though.

Well in the locker room the other day before baseball practice, we were playing mini golf with this big ass tape ball and this little dent in the ground and we were trying to hit the ball off the locker, bounce on the bench, and into the hole. And after doing that, I found out why people cheer and get excited for golf
