I wrote a script the other day (tested it of course) that would automatically designate any user in the channel. Basically this script would solve the problem of trying to designate an op should a bot that was already designated leave.
This script will check everytime a user leaves to make sure that the person who left is not the user who was last designated. Should the user who was designated leave, the bot will then recheck the channel list for a user in its auto-designation list, and then designate the next user, so that there will never be a problem of figuring out who to designate, as the process is automated.
anyone interested in this script?

first we need to finalise the "designation list". Once we have done that i can't see why this isn't a damn good idea. Often we lose ops because someone forgets to des. As far as op is concerned only doom zon and mama have access to do it (who are ever around) hehe sublte hint It will help to insure we keep an ops on triv dropping, at least far more efficiently than doing it manually.

This script is a good thing for the Op channel. Anyone looking into this?
