So, there is a time limit on editing posts? Like, when you post a post and after five days (I don't know how many exactly, let's just say five days) you can't edit the post that you have made? What kind of bullshit is this? I'm sorry, but that is one of the dumbest features that I have ever seen in a forum. We should have every right to edit our own posts whenever we feel like. My suggestion is this: remove the time limit on editing posts.

Just ask one of the senior mods nicely to edit for ya, and it'll likely be done. As for a time limit, there should be some I think, for various reasons. Some forums you can't modify your posts at all.

The time limit was added for a reason, people began editing their post a few days later and screwed up the conversations.
If you MUST change it you can PM a mod with the link, reply #, and the new version.

ferrousmoon - I would like to see some of those reasons. Yes, I know that Whot has provided with one reason.
Whot - Seriously? If they had a new information to add, they could have made a new post. If they had to edit the important parts (not like spelling, grammar mistakes) of their post, they could have just put "Edit: blah blah blah" at the bottom.

Cases of abuse, dereliction of conversations, that's what mods are for, among others. Such as: Why? In which case you could answer: Why not?? Then we could talk in circles some more. It would be easier in many cases, just read what you wrote/posted after and modify (if need be), then it won't be such a big deal. God and Goddess both know that I can post some stupid stuff. That's why she doesn't like me : ) ~

1. It is not said. It is typed, and most people fix their typed mistakes. Therefore, you SHOULD be able to change it.
2. The game itself is dumb.
3. Is editing posts (I am not talking about moderators editing a member's post to make the member look stupid or something (i.e. Member1 posts "blah blah blah" and a moderator edits the member's post to "I am a f**king Cigarettegot"). Now that is annoying.) really worse than few other things people do in a forum (against or not against the rules), like spamming (multiple posting, going off topic, bumping topics, etc.), trolling, flaming, posting sick pictures/videos, having so many signatures in their signature space that it makes the forum lag, etc.?

Is editing their own posts really worse than the other things that people do in a forum? 3. No and that's thanks to threads like these exist. If you can't come up with something other than "your rule is bullshit and I want it removed" then please don't continue posting in this thread.
