And yes chalupa, we f*cking know swearing doesn't automatically make you cool. It's called a "joke". Chill the f*ck out! Swearing doesn't necessarily make you cool, but sayin sh*t like darn, dang, son of a gun, heck, and bullsh*t like that sure as hell doesn't either.
So; for the sake of "fun", let us debate on and agree on things that might make one cool.
I vote shades. A good pair of shades can make anyone look pretty cool.
Also, not caring whether or not people think you're cool!
Keep it coming peoples.

my post in the other thread wasnt so much a statement on swearing making you cool, as a statement on something else....

Popped collars are cool, as are short-shorts.

Well for one, I don't go swearing up front, ever! Only on forums like these, where I would feel like throwing a baseball bat in! Me, I'm a cool guy, my friends think I'm cool, but I don't really hang out with a lot of them.
School has been really cool, and people get a kick out of me, just because I'm funny. I don't know what you guys are sniffing, but its definitely crack, cause the crack prevents you from listening to me!!!! This is very ironic, what happens to me in here! Its nothing like how i get treated at home, no!
The main thing is, keep up with the crowd. You don't want to be seen as a cool person in a minority, where you only hang out with a certain crows. Get involved, make yourself so that others see you as a cool person.

But I do agree that being able to make people laugh is a trait of being cool.

The ability to accept constructive criticism makes you cool.

The ability to accept constructive criticism makes you cool. Something prone could never do. What about fashion? Does certain clothing accent one's coolness, or even enhance it?

Yes. I'll add a big yes to that question, however it's all in the wrong sense. People in our generation now adays grow akin to new fashions, and they always want to try new things. I think one main reason that my school didn't allow blue jeans (up until this year, which i graduated before it, so I couldn't do anything about it), is because it took the meaning out of the school, because there were several types of blue jeans, which may have been deemed inapropriate at times.
Today, you see the stores all packed with people, because they are interesting in the latest fashions, and clothing. I myself don't shop, yet if I was forced into it, I would go shopping. (My older sister made me go shopping with her tons of times, and I held the clothes as she picked them out.)
Same thing in the movies, todays interests are in violence, sex, perversion (well, sort of) and anything that encompasses fear, anger, conflict, and denial. However, that is for another debate, which someone should make. I have some good insights to this type of thing.
If you had taken a look in the past, like during the 70s and 80s, the styles back then were not as they were today, because new things were only starting to open up back then. Fads weren't as popular back then, because kids just didn't want it as bad as they do now. Even now, new clothes are being produced everyday. Abercrombie has a big line of clothing. Why? Because kids can see themselves as being cool when they are wearing abercrombie.
Thats probably where plato's closet, as well as all the other stores where you can trade your clothes in came from. Its all about "Out with the old, in with the new."

I think the biggest thing that makes one cool is their attitude.
With the right attitude a person can easily be considered cool.
Such as a combo of 1) Truly not letting what other's say affect you 2) Wit 3) Charm

And yes chalupa, we f*cking know swearing doesn't automatically make you cool. It's called a "joke". Chill the f*ck out! Shut up nerd. You would never say that shit to my face because I would break your pencil neck in half and make you call me daddy. Then we would see how cool you are while everyone is laughing at you. If Prone is talking crap then he gets what he gets. When you decide to start shit with him every day without reason it's probably because you get your assed clowned everyday in school and this is the only way for you to feel better about it. So YOU chill the f**k out.

Know what Chal? Grow the f*ck up. Seriously man, what's up your ass? I meant what I said all in good humor, and pretty much everything I say in these forums, from bashing prone to heiling rbob, is all in good humor. That's what forums are for, I think, fun! Hell I don't actually have anything against prone, if you look back to my intro to these forums I even said that he's my kinda people. I bash him cause it's fun, and I'm sure that's why everyone else does it too.
And no, I don't get my ass "clowned" in school everyday, thank you very much.

knowing when to stop, and stopping, makes you cool...that goes for everyone knowing when to shut up, and shutting up, also makes you cool and being able to take a hit without whining and complaining helps too
