Hahah.. me too, except it's not near as Catholic as it was... only we have prayer and religion class... right now we're learning 'morality'... worst thing ever, it could be learnt in about 3 classes, and we spend a year on it.

I had a Morality class two years ago. I have no recollection of what I did in it.

.....That's my point exactly. There is absolutely no point to it whatsoever. Not even Bible study. Not that I like Bible study, but it's more relevant than a year of Morality. My teacher doesn't even accept varied opinions.

hmm id say the best relilgion classes were in gr 8 and 9, gr 8 my teacher would just make it so incredibly easy to get good marks that you kinda didnt care that it was religion, and i guess most of the time we just watched movies anyway, and in gr 9, unless that marshall dick intervened, we were allowed to watch primetime football in class. even though i dont like football THAT much, it was a hella lot better than this year

Marshall didn't do it, rabid. People just think he did cuz no one liked him. Besides, it was nearing the end of the season anyway, there were like..... 3 weeks left. Mr Bernett didn't like me though because I didn't take an interest in football. I actually told him that I didn't like football, and he got up on me saying "What did football ever do to you?" ....I should of told him that gambling on football took my dad away from me or something random like that... would have made him shutup.

I go to a Catholic school too.. Mine has nuns... I hate it. You guys all know of the ex post facto law right? Of course you do. Well anyway it is a law in our Constitution that states that if you make a law you can't go back and punish someone for what they did some time ago that is now considered illegal. My school.. Doesn't have this. Seems like everytime my class does something different we get into trouble..
But anyway back to topic. Unless you are seriously retarded you'd know that school is necessary. I mean sure you hate getting up and going to school to do work when you'd much rather be sleeping and playing video games but think of it this way. If you did that all day, what would you do when you had to leave you're parents protection, shelter, etc. You see, although school is hated by many, it is very necessary for us, the United States next Generation, to not be dumbasses. And yes, Bush is in some cases a dumbass. But that's getting off topic.

I learned in classes this week that in-depth thinking sucks(such as Descartes and Perry's dialogues).
And that other cultures are neat yet crazy compared to our relatively calm and dare I say "religionless" culture.
Other than that, not a whole lot....(oh yea, i should really starting to more classes...more than one day a week anyway)

It's pointless.
Moreso depending on how you look at it.
School is only necessary from K-6th grade to get a good job, however, The only necessary elements in K-6th is English and Math. Math is only necessary from K-4th though, while English is in fact needed all the way up to sixth grade. If you want to get a better understanding and be a better writer altogether, then English is pretty required up to 12th. But if you think about what you learn in school, it's all meaningless.
I will never use linear combinations in my adult life. I will never use the method of divinding/adding/multiplying/subtracting fractions, unless I am curious as to how much pie I have left and there are more than one. I will never use the concept of understanding the photosynthesis process of a plant. I will never use the information of who won the battle of little bighorn. I will never need to use the anatomy of a frog.
School is pointless. Unfathomably pointless.
What makes it an even more idiotic process are the fellow students who attend it. They're so stupid, so inept, the state has to dumb down the standards to meet the brain level of the children. It's rather funny, because they'll all be on welfare very soon anyway, so it's a big, never-ending circle of money falling down the drain, time being wasted, and armpits being saturated with sweat.

Lol... it really depends on the career path you're taking, Barney. You know that, right? If you want to become an engineer, you need to take very high level maths to be able to figure out random shit that I don't know yet, but it's never as easy as _+_. If you want to become a teacher, then you have to take courses. School is to help guide you into an area that you find interesting.

Our school has almost every single subject you can think of. So I'd say school is useful, or else everyone will be going "goo goo ga ga" or saying gibberish.
