Yup, Nintendo drew me in and I'm now a proud owner of their shiny white box.
I had my skepticism at first, but after my friend got one and I played some at his house, I just knew I had to get one. It's just so freaking addicting.
The first thing I bought for it was a second remote. Single player games are just no where near as fun as multi-player. I also bought Madden 2007. The funny thing is, I hardly play Madden. The Wii Sports game that comes with the Wii is so darned awesome that my roommates and I spend almost all the time we play it playing Wii Sports.
I'm sure I'll eventually get more games for it and find others that are awesome and move on, but for now, I'm addicted to Wii Sports. The game is so simplistic, yet it's just hard enough to keep you coming for more. And the realistic movements you have to make to play the games (swinging the remote like you're actually playing tennis, golf, bowling, baseball, or boxing) just adds to the experience.
Now, to say a bit about Madden, it's a sweet game in it's own right. Very interactive, just like Wii Sports, and very fun to play overall, once you get the controls down.
OK, so I guess I'm done here. I just wanted you all to know, if you didn't already, how great the Wii is. I've played Xbox360, I've played Playstation 3, but my experience with the Wii beats them out easily. Plus, the Wii is cheaper!
P.S.
It's hilarious to watch certain people play the Wii, because some don't seem to get the fact that you don't really need to make the fully body movements that are involved in the real game, but they do it anyway, flailing around the living room. Especially odd looking to someone who has no idea what's going on and they happen to catch a glimpse of the person playing.
