Hey Guys. First off, Happy New Year to one and all!
Second, and the subject of the post. I thought about it today for some reason and wondered...did they ever manage to fix stealthbot so as to be compatible with whatever Blizzard did to SC in its latest patch? I only ask because I've been playing Diablo a bit of late and it's a pain to switch back and forth. I perused the SB website, but couldn't seem to find anything that indicated a permanent fix of any kind. Any of you (Chalupa, Whot, Lost in particular) know if they've succeeded at all?

I'm probably not the one you would have looked to to fix this, but if your talking about how battle.net authenticates cd-keys, then your on the right track to what I was talking about.
This little fix makes it so you can log in first-time, anytime. It bypasses the domain for Battle.net/
Put this anywhere under [main]:
setBNLSServer=63.161.183.208
then save the file. Click settings in the bot, and click "reload config." That should do it.
Note: if you have proxies turned on, turn them off.

Last time I was on, everything was fine.
As far as I know, stealthbot's website/forums still has the instructions laid out to get everything working just peachy.

Finally got around to working on my SB (full time job sucks) and I still cannot make it work. I did check their site and the instructions were laid out as you suggested Prone, and I did exactly as they were listed on the site. Added the script to my config file under "main" and tried to connect, only to be hit by the version check error again. I'm running v2.6r3 which is the latest, to my knowledge. Don't know anything about proxies, so I assume I'm not running any. Any ideas then?

yea i was running v2.6R3 too, and i added that line under main, but then i just downloaded the exe files straight from that page where they tell you how to get it working, and i followed the instructions to the letter and it works for me fine now

Did something else happen to SB that I'm now unaware of as of 1/15? I was logged on throughout the day (until about 7:30 when I restarted my computer) and when I tried to reload SB, I got hit on both realms with "Error 10060, request timed out, BNLS servers are unreachable at this time." They didn't boot me before, they just are stopping me from loading it back up now. I went to SB.net and I see other people having difficulties...any word on it?

Um, battle.net is fine. I just can't ping either that, or one of the realms (uswest). I'll assumer I won't be able to the others.
Maybe a port is not working or something, that can't be fixed right now.

What happened is the regular BNLS, aka logon server, has been down. So, essentially the only other option is to use the other one mentioned on stealthbot.net, but that one is only for Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3 clients.
No telling when the SC/WC2 one will be up again.

I wonder if WC/diablo 2 connect on a different login server. Must be.
I think it may be because the server routes you into bnet, and yet if they used the same server, there would be bandwidth problems.

No... that's not it at all. The problem is something else. Just... don't worry about it, prone.

There is another bnls server working. Change in your config to
hdx.jbls.org
That one is working.

Really? You might want to take a look at the ones in OP Triviahost right now using SC.

Ok, so apparently my source had bad information. I was just going by what I knew.
It appears that it allows SC, but still not WC2.
