People stopped replying in the old thread and Link isn't here. I don't want to hijack his thread so this is a new one until he returns. Before the game starts, we need to go over the rules though. Techno proposed these changes:
1) More health(10 would be good) since it takes only 2 hits to take someone out in the current system.
2) No double posts regardless of time limit
3) Either a longer time between posts or to make it ultimately make it Turn based. ie everyone has Turn 1 and we can't move to turn 2 until everyone has taken their turn. This one might get tedious if not a lot of people are active(ie might take one day for just 1 turn) so this one is up for vote/debate
4) If not turn based then longer duration between posts(2 hours seems ok)
5) Possibility that even if a person gets taken out they still have one last turn. (Could be rule that if they had posted Over 2 hours earlier(so time limit had passed) they still have a turn remaining. If they got elminated before the 2 hour time limit then they don't get the turn. (might be to complex??)
6) PTC can be revived(so that he can be killed again) but this will not affect his rank of termination.
I think we should have a vote of some sort to see who agrees and disagrees with these. There was the beginning of a debate in the other thread but not too many responses overall. Please post what you think of these rules and we can come to some sort of consensus.
I'd support rules 1, 4, and 5.
I don't think a turn-based version would work exactly for the reason that Techno mentioned (one person might be inactive and stall the game).
I think in some circumstances double posting would be okay. Say, for example, there are only two people left in the game, you and one other person. Your opponent has enough health that you can't defeat him in one move. He also hasn't visited the forum in several days and there is a chance that he might not show up any time soon. I think that in this case either:
a) you should be able to hit your opponent whenever the time has elapsed, or
b) there should be some sort of rule where if your opponent hasn't posted a day after your move, you win by default.
