Depends on what the stress is. Really you just have to get into a good routine. Also, finishing your homework during class helps a lot.

grade eight... there's no point to grade eight, just getting used to it. grade nine, start getting really social and make friends, and continue that into grade 10. in grade 10, also start to increase the quality of your work habits and continue those throughout grades 11 and 12, and you'll have those friends. enjoy.
you have nothing to stress about.

Just go up to the captain of the football team and sock him in the face. You'll make lots of friends this way. (Unless you happen to be the captain of the football team. In this case, people will just look at you funny and never sit next to you)

Honestly, high school's not that big of a deal. I barely studied for most of it and still did very well. Just make sure to pay attention in class.

The stress comes from it being a new school where I only know a couple people and they're not even in my classes and in a different lunch then me, panicking about being organized enough, getting textbooks, etc etc. It's a whole bunch of 'what ifs' and other things mashed together.

I had a similar experience. I started High School in a new city and knew nobody at all. It took me a few weeks to start to get acustomed to it all. For me what made it a lot easier was when I joined an extracuricular group(for me it was the school band). Then I had an instant group of friends with a common interest. So joining a group or trying for a sports team could be an option.
As for the orginization aspect, I was never very orginized myself. I suppose you could make a short list the night before of everything you need to accomplish the next day so that you know what to do.
Hope that helps.

All you gotta do is be outgoing. Talk to a random person every day, introduce yourself, etc. I did that in high school and I'm basically comfortable hanging around with at least 60% of every class I'm in. That's the secret to the stress eliminators.
Also, if you ever feel stressed, just find something safe. Not like, wearing helmets or anything, but just something you know will never change. For me it was bowling. I'd have a bad day and I'd go bowling, because bowling never changes. It's always the same thing, it's never complicated, it just happens. If you have something like that to immerse yourself in, maybe it'll lift the stress a little.

I just started high school too, but I know almost everyone in my classes from grade 8. Also, my school is tiny which makes it a lot easier. I just have to worry about getting work done.

yeah thats a good thing about big schools. but for me personally i think i'd still like a small school better. i have a friend who just moved to a new city, and her school is twice the size of my whole town. very scary in my opinion.
