The stock market was already in a daily flux, and mostly down already... dumb to even bring it up really. The state of the market has to do with the deregulating decider Dubya.

My comment's bearing on yours, Lost, is as follows. The markets were down in response to an *election* win. All markets fluctuate in response to elections in general. It's the reaction to the unknown. But without knowing how they'd have fared with a McCain win, you can't be certain that Obama's *victory* rather than the election itself, as an event, is what caused the downturn.
Yes, they coincided. Obama won and the markets worsened. But if McCain had won? If markets were to decline then, too, then I'd hypothesize that it's more the election than the man that affects the market. I don't doubt some economists and Wall-Street folks directly blame Obama for their ills, and if they reacted to his victory by doing things like withdrawing money or selling stock, then yes, his victory caused that. But unless enough people in general reacted that way, it's far more likely that uncertainty about the future--general uncertainty--is the cause of the markets' downturn.
I can't prove that the markets would have tanked had McCain won, but there is a demonstrable history (globally, no less) of markets tanking before, during, and after elections...no matter who wins.

Regardless, I'll be amused enough when all this hype about "change" from Obama amounts to nothing more than hot air and failure.

I love how you have already begun to judge him and yet he isn't in office. And, just to reiterate a point made by Obama, Change isn't going to come overnight. Stop pretending that it should or will because it isn't.
And stop bitching about it. Obama won. You're still a citizen of the United States and he is our President. If you really want to be a sore loser move to Latin America where they don't care about politics.

I'm going to submit your name, Lost, to the Obama campaign so that you can be nominated for the position of "Chief guy in charge of making sure change happens to the country...or something along those lines."
It's a hard job, and carries much responsibility. But most importantly of all, you take the blame for any and all failures by the Obama administration to deliver on their promise of change. The pay is $0.01 per hour.
No use protesting that you have no interest in such a job. I've already gone ahead and put your name in, and been told you're a shoe-in since you're the only nominee! Congratulations! All hail Chief Guy in Charge of Change...Lost!
What will be the first thing on your agenda of change?

If you really want to be a sore loser move to Latin America where they don't care about politics. Yes, I've already begun to judge him. I started judging him as soon as I found he was the Democratic nominee for president. And sure, change isn't going to come overnight. I never suggested that it would. He will probably end up enacting whatever changes he has planned, I merely believe that his proposed changes will take this country in the wrong direction. I'll bitch about it all I want to. Yes, I'm a citizen of the United States. You know what that entitles me to? It entitles me to be able to voice my opinion, critique the government and its leaders, and express my distaste in the direction of the country. I can't comment on Latin America, since I have no idea how the various systems of government work down there, nor do I particularly care. And you are wrong. Obama may have been elected, but he does not become president for another 2 and a half months. And Led, I was thinking more along the lines of setting everyone up with their own personal panda bear. Humpback whales would be far too much maintenance. With a panda bear, just throw 'em in a cage with some bamboo and they keep to their lazy, worthless selves.

And i think they were ranked the number one high school in sports last year Well Hawaiian, I know you know what you have to do. That's right, you have to beat them at everything. Math, English, music, art, computer, theatre (acting and production AT THE SAME TIME), sculpting, woodworking, dance, farming, animal training, and every sport that they have. Good luck, I know you can do it.
