Ok, mods, i want to know why i was kicked off triviahost??? I didn't even do anything wrong. If there was an error, you can kindly disregard this message. What i want to know, if this is not an error, is why you guys would do that. I have not votebanned anyone just deliberately. I have not used foul language really. I have not done anything that would warrant my access being removed. So, whats the big deal?

Prone, it was I who took away your access. You kindly asked weeks ago whether you could have some or not, and I gave you a response that explained how you were too new to the Host and how you need to literally "earn" your access. I believe I said something in the time frame of about a month or so during the initial conversion. Now, whether you went around before or after (I hope to God before) we talked and found someone who would grant you access is beyond me, but I stand by my decision here. You have to earn it, and there are no special conditions as far as I am concerned. It's simply not fair that you would have access that members that have been here much longer do not have the privilege of yet.

Comp brings a good point, there have been far too many regulars which have been here longer and have not gotten access yet. With ptc being "new" he should at least have the access after the regulars have gotten it.
When you first asked me for access, I told you that you'll have to register on the forums, post, and be patient and we'll get along to it. After that, you started asking other people like what I just said didn't matter. What I didn't get was, why you thought stealthbot forums would be related to triviahost, and posting a "sorry for impersonating rbob" on the stealthbot forums.
Anyways, I respect your decision G0DESS and won't change it, but i'm just voicing my opinion as I see them. So to summarize if too lazy to read the whole thing, Yes, I agree prone deserves access, but not so quick.

Well, It's nice to see that someone respects my desicion- however there are certain things that need to be discussed in other forums and not in here. I will have Chalupa remove a lot of commands that can be accessed by the lower levels and maybe even weed some out for the not as active people. Maybe that will help some power trips around here. I will say, Prone is way more active than a lot of us (including myself) so I felt that it would be OK. I apologize prone. I didn't know you had been told "no" previously...Maybe in a few weeks.

Well, i understand what your talking about CoMp, and WhoT's side of it to. I agree that maybe GODESS wasn't thinking too hard when she gave me access. It was just that i saw her give two people access one day, and i was all for it after that. I realize that i was in a rush, and stuff like that. True, im way more active than some people, I wasn't really in a rush to get to 15 posts,but as you can see i've gotten past to like 60 as of this message in less than a month. I've really been an asset to the forums, you might say.
I'd like to add
1st: Meph, i don't understand why you said, "you don't deserve access." You didn't voice any opinions as to why you thought i shouldn't get access. You were all over my "rbob posts" as being deliberately annoying. I said i wouldn't do that anymore, and yet you still think that i have a problem, which means i should get no access. I don't hate you, and i don't see why i should, but that kind of talk leads me to react in funny ways.
2nd: CoMp and WhoT, I know i've asked for access way too much. I know i have to wait my time. Like you said WhoT, maybe a few more weeks will do it. CoMp, i can understand that i should get access after the regulars get access. I want access though, but i won't seek it constantly by pestering you guys into letting me have access. That was my mistake, and i'd like to apologize for doing it to you guys. I hope you guys understand that i'll decide to wait now.

I hope you guys understand that i'll decide to wait now. ptc, i'll elaborate on mephist's points. yes, you have posted a lot of late since i've seen you come onto the scene. and i guess you've been in the channel a lot? i'm truly not that sure about that one, i check the channel once in a while but im only semi-active and ranked in the top 50 if im lucky. but the point remains, you're still (at least to me) considered very much a new member. dx has been on and off for a while i do believe. he goes away for lengths of time but comes back. umm... mephis for example is still a new member. you're part of the new wave. i was talking to whot about this earlier. new members seem to me to come in waves. you are part of this wave. i say this because i've been around since the really early fledgling days back when LostPeon and Pandora99 were trivia gods. oh, and dterror wasn't bad either  and it seems to me that whenever new members come, they all come at once. (at least on the boards) whot was a member of the second of these "new waves", at least from when i've been around. they happen around once every 2 months, more frequent nowadays. now, regarding your posts. AMOUNT OF POSTS MEAN NOTHING I AM PROOF OF THIS I HAVE 15 ACCESS IF I'M LUCKY I HAVE THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF POSTS ON THIS BOARD and none of them exactly "suck" in quality yes i went on a post whoring binge about 9 months ago with none other than the gone and possibly forgotten fuzzyrubberbear. but then i cleaned it up, and got back to quality. i now almost have 2000 posts. almost all of them having an actual point made, whether teasing someone or stating fact or supporting or ranting or recommending. and yes i know you have been a great new member and active, but the fact remains you are still new. there has to be a certain amount of trust built. you have to show a certain level of maturity. the mods usually like to know for sure that they're making a good choice when they give out access. it's nothing bad against you, ptc, but you just gotta be around here a while longer. maybe it will be this few weeks, i doubt it personally. a few weeks does not a man make. but just show consistency and you'll be good dude. just, leave it. i left it a while ago, you don't need power to enjoy the host. just see if you can beat friendowen. doom's the one exception to this whole thing, but he showed everyone up in trivia, and he was really looked up to by the other new members and new regulars. the host needed a guy like him and obviously it was a good choice. some take forever to get mod access (ie whot.) and now i know you don't necessarily want "mod" access, but that's just to help you out. it doesn't get just handed out, except in the first month when rabid was given modship just because he asked once (hahaha... ended up being bad choice....) but yeah. just. stay around a while and then if you still want it ask about it again. not deserving access isn't exactly an insult, just means he doesn't think you're ready/shown yourself enough yet. good luck everyone. just enjoy triviahost! i don't think you deserved access, but I don't deserve access either.
i'll probably never get access, which is fine with me. I don't think it really does anything, because if you're cool with everyone in the channel then I think thats enough reputation that access won't add much to.

Hey, I've got a question that is mostly unrelated to these events, but kinda goes with some of the last posts. I'm just wondering if you guys consider me a new player or an older player on the bot. This is the first year that I signed up on the forums, but I think I've played triviahost for maybe 2 if not 3 years, on and off for long periods of time. So I'm just wondering, just to go along with my power-seeking-hungry exploits. P.S. Oh and also, how does : + ) translate into a band? I'm just kinda confused on that |
