Does anyone here know if its possible to run starcraft WITHOUT the cd being in your drive. You know how most programs work, as if you downloaded it off the internet. Or if you are pleaseeee tell me how you are.

Yes, if you install Gamedrive which makes a phony CD rom drive and copies the CD ROM to that drive. Then it runs without the CD.

You could copy your SC cd and make an .iso out of it, then mount that to an imaginary drive with a program like Alcohol 120%. (Kinda what Chalupa said, I think)
I tried it once and it worked until I restarted my computer, then it didn't want to accept the .iso. I don't know the exact problem, as I've never tried it again, but it did work for a short period.
However, this usually doesn't work with newer games/cds because they have more copy protection, but SC, being as old as it is doesn't have very sophisticated measures.
Also, there's CD cracks out there... but I don't know anything about them.

There are several cracks for starcraft, but I'm not sure that there is one for 1.13f version of Starcraft. You could check here for it.. www.megagames.comGood emulators are Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%, though Daemon takes up way less memory, which does not affect your system performance...much. If you go to any P2P file sharing personally, torrents work better for me, like bitlord and azureus. You could find a cd image (.img, .iso) (sometimes in .### files. ex. .001, .002, etc. and you just extract these and inside includes the .img / .iso) |

um alcohol 120% works the best ive tried it.
but this other one that whot is easier but it freezes sometimes
