Im sitting at one of the computers in the ad building (trying not to get caught). I've been going this way and that, not really doing jack squat. I've been trying to get financially cleared, but its not working. I've been talking to my dad, and he told me that we are on a plan for 35% of the tuition cost. This is really stressing me out, and It should have been cleared up on monday, the first day i came in to register. This is really frustrating. Do you have any stories like this?

Having issues with finances in school is not uncommon. I seem to have issues with the financial office once a year, if not once a semester.

Well, im pretty clear on what classes im going to take now. Tomorrow, im going in to attempt to register for intermediate spanish, and i hope that goes ok. I already sort of signed up for computer science I. I would have to pay some more money for those classes. I already paid for classes that i have no interest in taking, but i put them down anyway because I thought they were relevant to what i wanted to study, but now im sure that i don't want those classes, so im doing it over again.

Same here, I've already got 4,000 to my first year of college just from MEAP testing, and I'll get 5,000 a year because of my GPA//ACT scores.

If you meant grant, disregard this, but assuming you mean scholarship, that means you have to keep your collegiate cumulative GPA above a certain raised mark(EG: 3.0GPA) to keep that scholarship intact. And Im curious as to how high your ACT's were so that you got money JUST for them alone.

Well for the college I'm going to, they give me 5,000 for a 3.6 or higher gpa (I have 3.75) and keeping it at 3.5 while having a 29 or higher ACT, which I plan on being able to do. My ACT score was a 33, which is surprising seeing as I don't tend to care during standardized tests

Worried for exactly one minute. Afterwards he thanked his parents, ate their brains and stole their bank accounts.

Worried for exactly one minute. Afterwards he thanked his parents, ate their brains and stole their bank accounts. Not necessarily in that order.

RBOB WAS SO WORRIED FOR A MINUTE Don't feel bad. I'm paying for half the cost of my classes. Even then, im not taking that very many. Im doing a ptc, which is permission to take classes, since i didn't register at the beginning of the summer when everyone else was, so that really hurt my chance at taking a full load.

After two hours of commuting to get back home today, I've decided to live on campus next semester.
(Can this be the official college thread now?)
