Here is a video of the new Starcraft 2 which is not yet released: video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3980165796053569246&q=starcraftI don't know if there is a better video out there cause this one is kinda low quality. Anyways, I must say that the graphics look pretty darn cool, but I don't know if it could replace the first Starcraft for me. I guess i'll have to wait and try it, but I get the feeling I will prefer the game play of the first one. This is just one of those games that is hard to improve on. Any other game and I would welcome the newest version. What do you guys think? Chalupa

Well, it's a bit diffrent then the ones I found, but people claimed that it was running from the Warcraft III engines and gameplay stuff. The bar is the same as the one I saw, but there wasn't a healthbar on each unit. It looks more like command and conquer, doesn't it?

it looks like this is headed in the warcraft direction...
i dont know why, but the old graphics just seem to have a better fit for starcraft

Pretty underwhelmed by this. Think I'll stick to the original Starcraft.

good to know. I don't like all the new strategy games, the view really sucks. the old ones are better.

Well, if this is all for real, Blizzard has damn well taken their time in producing a sequel.
I don't know if I'd really be interested in it, though. I mean, I bought Warcraft 3 a while back and haven't played much after I bought it. But, depending on the reviews and assuming free online play, I could be persuaded to purchase such a game.

no dice. warcraft three rounder graphics don't work for a technology themed game. no dice. sorry. i like how they kept the unit screen the same however.

This is not Starcraft 2. This is only a mod for Command and Conquer Generals!

Heh, thats so amazing how a came can change if you build it on a different engine. Imagine if you will developing starcraft on a doom engine!!!!! First person shooters, yeah!!!!!!! How about combining it with the doom engine, where you can control each unit from a first person perspective, and when that unit dies, you get automatic control of the unit next to it.

IDK you guys, Blizzard has never failed to impress me. I played starcraft and Diablo, and they really impressed me with the sequel to diablo. I havent played many any warcraft games at all, and judging from your opinions I dont think I want to play warcraft III. I Just started playing world of warcraft about 3 weeks ago, and of course I love it. Ive been hearing that the two secret projects blizzard are working on are Diablo III and Starcraft 2. I think the guys know what they are doing, and will make at diablo and/or starcraft better, hey they got two chances at not screwing up.

BLizzard seems to take their time in between new games and/or sequels. I assume it's because they only work on a small amount of games at one time for quality reasons.
Thus we have to wait a long time, but when the games do come out they rock.
Blizzard is probably one of the few companies with a perfect record for games.
Starcraft is still popular and played 8 years after it's come out, Same with Diablo 2.
Warcraft 3 World of Warcraft
All top notch games.
