I wanna get a new iPod, and my friend has the option to get one for cheap with a new MacBook. So he's gonna sell me one for a lower price. So first off, should I get a 30 Gig or an 80 Gig and why. Secondly: Click hereHow do you think this'll look for an engraving? . d( 0 .o )b DON'T . . (__o_) PANIC . The dots need to be there to space everything correctly. Do you think that's good, or should I stick to either the monkey or just the words? btw the pic won't line up right here, even if I put it in a code box. So you'll have to go to the link and copy and paste the lines to see it correctly.

I think just the words looks better. as for what size? well that's up to you. check your computer now. do you have 80 GB worth of music and movies? if you do or if you have significantly more than 30 [and you listen/watch it all], then get the 80. if you don't, save yourself some money and get the 30.

Rabid pretty much summed it up there.
For me, I'd definitely go with the 80. I have 140 gigs of music on my computer and I like to listen to a lot of different music.
But, if you don't have a music library like mine, definitely just go for the 30.

I'm perfectly happy with my creative zen 30 gig. There's no way in hell you're ever going to listen to all 30 gigs of music in one sitting, and what you want to listen to will probably change with the day. If you'd rather have everything on one player, go with the 80. If you don't mind switching it out every once in a while, go with the 30.

I have about that many. Or 7000, i forget. Anyways, the iPod's in and the engraving looks pretty sweet. Although does anybody know how to make it so that when I sync the iPod with my computer, it only adds stuff and doesn't delete whatever's existing on the iPod?

That's how sync programs normally work already, isn't it? I know the one for my Creative players does it that way.

I think you may have understood me (Or I guess you might not understand how iTunes works normally). I want to be able to connect my iPod to a computer and add music from that computer onto my iPod. I still want to keep whatever music is existing on the iPod, but normally iTunes will delete everything on the iPod before it adds the music and stuff. That way the iPod only has whatever that one computer has on it. Now my brother had his set up so that the iPod would still keep whatever it had on it whenever he added stuff to it. He doesn't remember how to do it though, that's the problem.

oh. i have mine set up like that too. its something to do with adding music to ipod manually. hold on let me go check...................
ok ok ok. when you first plug in your ipod, it comes to da screen that shows you a pic of your ipod and tells you all kind info. theres 3 sections. ipod, version, and options. in the options section where it has those 4 boxes with different words next to em...check the box that says manually manage music. ya. and all you gotta do is add it from your itunes library. just drag and drop. but it might be different for you cause you got a video im assuming so ya. but this works on itunes 7
