We first e-ppeared in '92. After a five-year hiatus we are back again, with Reverend M. leading the flock once more. What many would consider our highest peak of recording was released nearly ten years ago. Who are we?

We are described as metal or prog-metal frequently.

Not to mock you, oh Gray one, but isnt this more trivia than a riddle?
Nonetheless i like the Q and am searching to find an answer. Unfortunately that is not my genre of specialty.
Edit: Emperor is a seminal and infamous Norwegian black metal band that was formed in 1991, dissolved in 2001, and reformed in late 2005. The group was founded by Samoth on drums and vocals and Ihsahn on guitar.
Just is just a wild guess.

Mock?
Eh, it could be trivia I guess. Works as a riddle too, I'd say.
Not Emperor, way more mainstream and... American.

First off, i held off saying something about Waipio's comment. Glad Chalupa didn't.
Second off, is the band Firehouse? If not, give another clue

Yes, strangely, you've got me stumped.

No, it's not Firehouse.
Our previous album sounds almost like a football move. We will be at Coachella this year. We are ironically infamous for having an extremely rabid and gullible fanbase. And finally, the name of our new album has to do with the passage of time.
