You couldn't just connect through the website. YOu would need a cd-key, and you would also need client software that interfaces with BNLS. I would want to think that it would be possible, to have software that does that, much like a windows DLL, that interfaces with some things, like sound drivers do. To comment on the second thing that you mentioned about a status. Hey chal, could you program your bot so that IF Trivia_Running = true, then it would send a message to the website, saying that trivia is on? That would work great. On the note about a WebBot, im sure you could have trivia questions on a WebBot that you could put on the website, in a special board though, so it doesn't screw up the main website. third note, database: You need like a database that keeps track of names. That way, if you voteban someone, that particular name that you .votebanned would be put in a database that can be manipulated in any fashion. It will ban the user if the user is in the channel too. This way, a user can log out, in the old method, and the ban vote won't count. This way, the user's name gets added to the database, and when that user comes back, the bot will check that user, and if the username matches the name in the database, that user gets banned. You follow? Prone, you should've stopped talking RIGHT when you got to You couldn't just connect through the website. Because that's not what he meant.

Lol.. All that does is create more tention and ruin the whole purpose the boards. Isn't the purpose a forum a place for fun? On a more serious note. Another idea I had was about the channel. We could add a WebBot. So that everyone can see the channel? O.O!! But that might ruin the point.. But like you could end up playing trivia through the site, which would be weird.. I don't know I'm thinking outloud, but definetely a status bar for the channel so people know when they should get on and start, or whether the channel is inactive at the moment and should try later. I believe what he meant was to link the channel to the website, so that those who don't feel like getting on starcraft to use the channel could go on the website to play instead. Isn't that what he meant?

I think he meant a tracker for the channel that shows who's all in the channel and stuff.

in that case, chal could probably program that into his bot fairly easily.
